Facebook’s new advertising controls

Adrian Weckler writes in today’s Irish Independent about a little victory for the Irish Data Protection Commissioner. After intensive negotiations, Facebook are to give people the option to opt-out of having ‘interest based adverts’ displayed to them in their Facebook timeline. This change will be rolled out globally.
