Daragh O Brien

Daragh has a unique blend of business and technical acumen and experience in the areas of Information Quality, Data Governance, and operationalizing Regulatory Compliance processes (including Data Protection). His project experience spans both high level Information Strategy definition and ‘boots on the ground’ process and solution design and execution. This breadth of experience and insight over the past 15 years has resulted in Daragh being a widely respected and recognised expert in the global Information Quality and Data Governance community.

Equally comfortable discussing the technical aspects of data management or the strategic value of information to organisations in terms of bottom line impact, competitive advantage or Regulatory factors, Daragh works with organisations to help them understand the meaning and purpose of their information and how the quality (or lack of it) can affect that meaning and purpose, undermine strategic or operational goals, and add cost to the bottom line.

A recognised and award winning innovator in the field of Information Quality and Data Governance, Daragh is the author of two books on the subjects of Data Quality Strategy and Data Governance. He has lead Data Integration programmes and Regulatory Compliance teams in the telecommunications sector, coaches and trains Information Quality teams in the Financial Services sector, advises Public Sector bodies on Information Architecture, Information Quality, and Data Integration issues.
