Responding to a Subject Access Request (half-day remote seminar)
Introduction and Purpose
This course is a practical intensive seminar, introducing theory, principles, and tools in the practical context of real-life scenarios.
Enabling Data Subject Rights is a core part of Data Protection compliance, and failure to properly respond to Data Subject Access Requests is one of the most common recorded causes of complaints to the Data Protection Commission.
This seminar provides attendees with an in-depth and hands on grounding in the concepts involved in Subject Access Requests, and practical tips for ensuring timely and compliant response.

- Data Subject Rights
- What a Subject Access Request is
- Differences between Subject Access Requests and FOI requests
- How to identify a valid SAR
- Requirements to properly respond to a SAR
- How to handle excessive and repeat requests.
